LIP GLOSS FACADE:

My lips dry-

from lack of use

I bestow a chocolate flavored lip gloss

to mask with shine

only to realize

the bottle is half empty

in it's reapplication-

due to it's theft off my lips by his

When I then realized

the path the glossy stick had traveled-

had inadvertantly

removed his kiss with each application.

All this time

i have had them trapped in this tiny tube.
